Accreditation Programs:

Accreditation

Accreditation is a confirmation of competence of impartiality and independence of certification bodies (management systems, products and personnel), inspection bodies, and laboratories to carry out activities to assess compliance.
Accreditation is used to build and strengthen confidence in the results of calibration, testing and inspection, certified products and services and skills of certified personel and certified management systems.
The rules are included in the accreditation standards and guidelines, in which the requirements are defined. Achieving accreditation means that the accredited agents were evaluated according to these standards and guidelines.
Standards and guidelines forming the accreditation criteria are given in the A-01.

  • Accreditation contributes to the elimination of barriers to trade through the mutual recognition of conformity assessment procedures

  • Accreditation is an effective tool for decision making and managing risk

  • Accreditation reduces risk in business relationships

Accreditation Programs

Accreditation run by IECA is available to all subjects in the conformity assessment system regardless of their size, legal status, whether the areas in which they operate.
EICA is currently conducting the accreditation in the following areas:

  •  product certification bodies according to the A-10;

  •  management systems certification bodies according to the A-11;

  •  certification bodies operating certification of persons A-12;

  •  research laboratories by A-13 ;

  •  Calibration laboratories by A-14;

In the case of non-accredited so far specific areas, i.e.  not occurring in areas previously granted accreditation, IECA is developing a new accreditation program.
